The Captain’s House is a semi-detached period house at the southern end of Wodehouse Terrace. It overlooks: a quiet road with very little traffic; Carrick Roads; Pendennis and St Mawes Castles; Falmouth Bay; and the harbour, across the rooftops of houses lower down the slope. There is a gate and a large hedge separating the front terrace from the road. At the rear of the property there is a secluded terrace on three levels paved with slate and tastefully planted and lit. At the top of the rear garden is an entrance to the garage which has room for two or three cars and an electrically operated door that opens out onto the rear shared drive where there is also a space to park another car. The rear garden has built-in wooden seating at the top and a separate garden table, chairs, and a charcoal barbeque that are kept in the garage during the winter months.
